Year 9 Keystage Four Subject Pathways 2024
Decisions made by Year 9 students about which subjects to study in years 10 and 11 can be crucial, affecting future 6th Form opportunities and career choices. The Year 9 options booklet will be available from January and the supporting videos below should provide you and your child with all the information you need to make these informed choices. There are also contact details, within the booklet, should you need more information on a specific subject.
To reflect national changes, our Key Stage 4 curriculum has been the subject of much review and will continue to give all students access to a broad and balanced education. All of our students will follow a core curriculum and be given the opportunity to follow the English Baccalaureate pathway. In addition, they will also have the opportunity to benefit from a range of rigorous Level 2 qualifications such as GCSEs, BTECs and Lv2 Technical Awards.
Our Year 9 students face many new challenges in the years ahead, however, we are confident that the curriculum we offer will enable your child to excel. There is much support on hand to guide your child through the process and we look forward to discussing Key Stage 4 options with you.
