We have been reflecting on a wonderful week of performances with our production of Disney’s Moana Jr. What a wave of talent we had on our stage! We navigated three shows, braving the tides of local Primary School audiences, and then the families of our incredible cast. And just like Moana finding her way, our students truly rose to the occasion. The energy and talents on display were truly something special. 

Our students rose the challenges of creating a production with remarkable effort and enthusiasm. From the powerful rhythms of “We Know the Way” to the comedic moments that had everyone laughing, they brought the story to life with real passion. It was a joy to see them embrace the themes of courage and self-discovery and deliver such a polished performance. 

I’m incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication shown by each and every one of our students. Their commitment to the production was evident in every scene, every song, and every dance step. 

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support the show, or as the residents of Motunui might say “Mahalo”. Your presence and enthusiasm made it a truly memorable experience. We’re already looking forward to our next musical adventure!
