All year 10 students visited Northumbria University to gain a deeper understanding of post 16 options. They each took part in a carousel of activities which included a tour of the campus where they got to see the state of the art engineering and sports science equipment, along with the law court, a look at apprenticeships and finally a hands-on revision skills session to prepare them for their mock exams. 
 
Students also visited Newcastle University to experience the brand new ‘Discover Uni’ event. They worked with student ambassadors for the whole day exploring different degrees they could study, analysing ‘celebrity’ personal statements (including Buzz Lightyear and Beyoncé) and competing in a scavenger hunt around campus.
