Yesterday our Year 7/8 girls football team faced a challenge with only seven players being available for their nine-a-side games. The girls played two games, winning the first 3-0 against Castle View with goals from Lateesha King, Tia McKitterick and Sommer Bainbridge.

Their second game was an awesome performance, with only seven players their work rate was amazing, managing to frustrate St. Anthonys’ and holding them to a 0-0 draw. Tia McKitterick even came close to sealing a cheeky 1-0 by hitting the bar!

The girls were an absolute merit to the school. They showed great sportsmanship during the match, something which was recognised by the other schools after each game. Massive well done to our magnificent seven!
