Sandhill View is a popular Academy with pupils admitted each year from across the entire City of Sunderland. We invite and advise parents of children with disabilities to make a preliminary visit to help them to decide if we can make suitable provision for their child. Individual risk assessments and management strategies are provided for school trips and visits. You do not have to be from one of our feeder schools to attend Sandhill View Academy.
Please contact the school office to arrange an appointment. Tel: 0191 594 9992

The Admission Process
Applications for a place should be made through Sunderland City Council using the link at the bottom of this page.
Admissions open during the school preference period. The preference period for 2025 secondary admissions is Monday 9 September to Thursday 31 October 2024.
Parents are required to apply online through the Local Authority’s website or by a paper application form. If your application is received after 31 October 2023, it will reduce your chance of being offered your preferred school.
