SHV Tackles the Army Youth Challenge
Before half term students from Years 9, 10 and 11 travelled to Albemarle barracks to take part in the 4x Army Youth Challege course. Throughout the course of the day students took part in a STEM activity, a surveillance and observation task, a medical evacuation task and a paintball command task.
Once completing all the tasks students then went to a presentation of all the possible career choices available within the army. Throughout the day students were put to the test attempting new activities. The students showed leadership skills, team work and resilience throughout. All of our students gAve 100% effort and represented the school well. Kyle Hardy (Year 9) was chosen by Major R. Humphries and his team as standing out as a great leader. Kyle was involved in all the tasks showing a keen interest, determination, teamwork and good problem solving skills. Well done Kyle!
