Last week saw the return of the annual Sunderland Search for a Star, held at Sunderland College’s Bede Campus Arts Academy Theatre. With a panel of esteemed judges, the different acts of varying artforms performed in their bid for a chance to win a recording session at the college, as well as the winners’ trophy. Our act this year was Macie McLaughlin (Year 8). Macie has been preparing all through the Easter holidays and performed a wonderful rendition of Adele’s ‘Hiding My Heart’. Macie did incredibly well and her comments from the event judges all extremely positive – a bright future ahead indeed. Well done Macie!
