Outward Bounds to the Lochs
Seventeen Year 9 pupils spent a week in Loch Eil in Scotland on an Outward-Bound course ran by the EEF. The students were split into two competing teams where they worked on a range of transferable skills that they can use in and out of the classroom. This included team building exercises, resilience and planning.
This was an action-packed week where pupils had the chance to take part in a range of fun activities including canoeing, scrambling, hiking and even constructing their own zip line! The week culminated in a camping trip in the highlands with students working as a team, setting up camp, cooking their own food and taking full ownership of their own and their group needs.
