Our Geographers Survey the Bay
Year 10 were lucky enough to have the opportunity to complete both their compulsory GCSE fieldwork enquiries away at Robin Hoods Bay this week. We had a fantastic time, and the weather didn’t disappoint! We spent day one completing land use surveys for our Human enquiry, which also provided us with the opportunity to sample the fish and chips and Ice cream!
Before spending the evening completing our enquiry write up. Day two started with beautiful weather, stunning views, and a full English Breakfast! We then headed onto the beach to complete our physical enquiry, measuring the beach gradient. The pupils were fantastic at this! We even had time to go rock pooling before having lunch then heading home. It was a quick but glorious two days and Mrs Parker, Mrs Knight and Mr Hodgson were extremely proud of how Year 10 represented our school. We have an amazing reputation with Boggle Hole YHA and this certainly is still the case, with the staff commenting on how pleasant and polite our pupils are. They also impressed with how tidy their rooms were!
