On the Go on STEMFest
Last week we took a group of Year 7 & 8 students to visit the Beacon of light to take part in STEM Fest. There were a huge range of STEM-based companies there (with plenty of freebies!) and students took part with enthusiasm. Highlights included meeting Jim Christensen who came all the way from The Kennedy Space Center in Florida to inspire students to take an interest in space. Students also got the opportunity to crack the enigma code and got to see space for themselves in a mobile planetarium. Students loved the hands-on activities and represented the school superbly!
