A Lakeland Adventure for Sandhill Students
Over the Summer a group of Sandhill View students got the chance to take part in the John Muir Award. The award is a national environmental award scheme that encourages people to connect with, enjoy and care for wild places. As part of the award our students had to discover a wild place (in this case the Lake District National Park), explore its wildness, help with a conservation project and share their experiences. Our students had a fantastic time earning their awards, enjoying the fantastic weather and beautiful surroundings, which for some was their first visit to the Lakes.
