Sandhill View hosted our first Insight session for local Year 5 pupils.  As well as providing prospective Year 5 pupils with a taste of secondary life, the sessions are part of a wider project aimed at raising young people’s aspirations, starting at the primary stage.  The theme of the day was ‘Who am I?’; following Mr Wright’s (Southmoor’s Vice Principal) inspirational assembly, pupils explored this theme through four superb Masterclasses: Sociology (Ms Jobes), Biology (Ms Turner), Language (Ms Gallon) and Psychology (Mr Blood).

The day was a huge success and all pupils achieved an Insight Award as well as a few specific awards for effort and achievement.  Well done, Year 5!
