Going Green
Last Tuesday was World Mental Health Day. This year, mental health charities and the World Health Organisation are encouraging people to unite behind the theme “mental health is a universal human right.”
To celebrate the day, we invited students to substitute a piece of their uniform for something green as well as to bring in a small donation for mental health charities. Our staff and students joined in with much enthusiasm to help turn SHV green for a day, with swathes of students sporting the colour to show their support.
Alongside this, all students discussed both mental health and the links to human rights in lessons, and had the chance to get creative and design posters promoting these valuable concepts.
Thank you to everyone who took part to help us raise £82.48 which is the most we have ever raised!
