Girls Get Set To Go Green
On Wednesday, our GirlsGetSet group had the privilege of collaborating with employees from Baker Hughes on their carbon capture project. This initiative is an integral part of their effort to achieve the Bronze Industrial Cadet Award.
As part of the project, participants were challenged to design a self-propelled vessel capable of transporting liquid carbon dioxide to an offshore storage site. The group was divided into four smaller teams, each responsible for designing, testing, and developing a presentation to be delivered before a panel of judges.
Throughout the day, the students demonstrated key skills such as courage, ingenuity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, showcasing their ability to tackle complex engineering challenges with creativity and determination.
