Celebrating 25 Years of World Book Day
We celebrated World Book Day’s 25th anniversary in school. All students were given a £1 book token that can be used to claim a free World Book Day book or as £1 discount off a book of their choice. The tokens can be used at most supermarkets and bookstores.
Throughout the day students took part in a range of activities such as a designing their own book token, book cover and bunting. They also visited the Book Swap Shop in the LRC to choose a donated book to take home and keep. All students took part in the World Book Day Quiz during Period 1 and the winners from each class have been entered into a prize draw to win a free book.
It was wonderful to see so many staff dressed up as a character from their favourite book.
