This week students explored the myriad range of careers available in Photography. Photography is used extensively in all aspects of our modern lives and connects with many other subjects beyond the creative industry such as journalism, historical archivism, science and ecology, geographical research and many, many other aspects. For this lesson, students explored the artwork of Shamekh Bluwi, a Saudi illustrator and fashion designer who uses photography extensively to inspire his work. Pupils had the opportunity to explore his cut-out technique to create and inspire interesting designs and patterns found in the environment around them.
