As we celebrate World Book Day it is only fitting that we look at our very own published author, Darcie Peters, year 10. Darcie was inspired to write her own novel ‘The Palace of Glass and Thorns’ after immersing herself in the works of Brandon Sanderson. She found the idea of creating her own world, with her own characters fascinating. Her book follows the journey of 5 people chosen by the gods to protect the realm from the dark forces in the underworld. With twists and turns at every corner, one reader describes it as ‘addictive’.
