Thank you to Mr. Iqbal who joined us today to speak to our humanities students about Islam. Mr. Iqbal was kind enough to inform our students about the beliefs of his religion, some of the misconceptions around it and spoke about many of the challenges it faces in today’s society, which was especially relevant given the recent events in London.

Our students had many fantastic questions for Mr. Iqbal and it was great to see them gaining an understanding for the faith as a result. Tolerance and respect are a massive part of the key British values we promote in school, by learning more about the beliefs and cultures of the people around us we can in turn prepare our students for life in a multi-cultural Britain.
