ASDA e-Gift Vouchers
We’ve had a number of queries regarding the ASDA e-gift cards we are providing to children on Free School Meals – how to use them and what to distribute so we wanted to share some useful information to help clarify how these work.
– Once your order is paid for you can download your e-gift cards from your ‘History’ tab of your account. To do this select the ’Excel’ Icon next to the order:
– Each Asda e-gift card is issued with it’s own unique website address. This is also known as the ‘Gift Card URL’ and so will show in the ‘Gift Card URL’ column of the downloaded spreadsheet. Each of these is what you should give to your end customers which will allow them to click the link to display or print their own e-gift. Remember each one of these website addresses is one of your e-gift cards so only distribute one per customer.
– The e-gift website address loads your e-gift card which includes a barcode so your customers can use it in store. This is what you should issue to your end customers and what they will need to show in-store. Each of these will look similar to this. The account number and PIN are automatically included within this, so there is no need to provide these separately to your customers.
– Remember each account number is unique and should only be given to one customer.
– Please do not alter the visual of the e-gift or try to re-create it. If it’s in any other format than the above then your Asda store will not accept it.
– If you have selected ‘Bow’, ‘Shopping Card’ or ‘Thanks’ designs of e-gift, these can be topped up at a later date if you have a requirement to do so (known as reloading) from the ‘Reload’ tab in your account.
– To use an e-gift card in-store, your customers should load the gift card website address on a mobile device or bring this printed out into store. It can then be used on any checkout type. If using a self-scan checkout, wait until after you have scanned your items, choose pay now, other payment methods and gift card. Then scan the barcode.
– To use an e-gift online, your customer will need to open the gift card website address. They can then use the card number and PIN number to spend this online.
These vouchers, currently being provided by Sandhill View as emergency support for children who are working from home, will finish this week, further details on the government replacement for this provision will follow shortly. Please check this page regularly for updates.
