At the end of last term, a shocking discovery was made at Newcastle University: The Dr Martin Luther King statue had been stolen from campus! In an attempt to catch the thief and recover the statue, Newcastle University called in the experts from Sandhill View. Year 9 were taken to the University where they spent the day cracking codes, extracting DNA, analysing soil samples and translating Portuguese; all in an attempt to catch the perpetrator of this heinous crime!
 
Our year 9 pupils did not let us down: by 2:30pm, the culprit had been arrested and the statue returned to its rightful place. All in a day’s work for our Sandhill super sleuths!
