Full STEM Ahead at Salford
In December the STEM team took 21 students to Salford University for the GCSE in action event. This was a jam packed day full of brilliant lecturers. The lectures included “What happens when the Universe ends?”, “Medicine in action”, “Deep sea exploration” and “Zap, the story of electricity” as well as an examination workshop. The day was long, with us departing from Sandhill View at 7am and not returning until 8pm, but it was absolutely worth it.
Students really enjoyed the day and were unanimous in their praise for the event. Some students even managed to take part in some on stage medical demonstrations, with one student being shown a lie video of the veins in his arm – incredible!
The students, as always, showed off Sandhill View to other schools from around the country and really did us proud, taking full part in the events and demonstrating impeccable behaviour – we could not be more proud of them.
