Just before the end of Term Years 7, 8, and 9 recently took part in a Countdown competition, based on the popular TV show, which proved to be a great success. Representing their tutor groups, in teams of 2, nominated students worked on a series of challenging number and word tasks, in front of a packed-out theatre. The competition gives all students the opportunity to test their literacy and numeracy skills against the best in their year group (and even against some teachers) whilst encouraging a bit of fun and competitive spirit within the learning experience. We hope to run the competition again in the Summer term as everyone had great fun!
