Eggciting Learning Opportunities
Last week students from the Eco Team and Land Based Studies students have supplied eggs from our school chickens to the technology department for their cooking lessons. This week Y7 students have made small cakes with our very own SHV eggs! Students were amazed that the first egg that they cracked was a double yolker. This provided an amazing opportunity to discuss how chickens lay eggs, where they live and how the quality of feed and their natural environment play such an important role in creating those bright orange yolks, that all students commented on!
