Portrait Perfection
Year 10 took part in workshop with local artist Kerry Cook from The Art Room Sunderland. Students spent the afternoon creating exciting and experimental work which will contribute to their coursework. We began by looking at the history of Sunderland and used a portrait of a glassblower for inspiration. Students experimented with portraiture through the use of materials such as ink printing, acrylic paint on Perspex and chalk/pencil self portraits. Students and staff have had a brilliant afternoon developing their coursework. We can’t wait to work with Kerry and The Art Room Sunderland again.
