Poems for the Planet
We celebrated National Poetry Day in school. The theme for this year was ‘The Environment’ so English and Geography teamed up to explore how poetry can be used to raise awareness for important issues such as the climate crisis and encourage others to act. KS3 students will have the chance to write their own poem to encourage others to act on the climate emergency. Students will then be able to enter their poems for the ‘Poems for the Planet’ competition and be in with a chance to win a prize.
