Exploring Blencathra
Year 7 had a fantastic time at Blencathra in the Lake District. We learnt about National Parks, completed a river investigation and developed our bush craft skills. Learning outside the classroom is an unforgettable experience and something pupils will remember for a long time. We have made memories for life and although due to COVID this was the first time away for many of these pupils, they certainly did Sandhill View proud! Aside from the educational benefits, these pupils have built life skills, learnt how to work as a team, made new friends and we as teachers have loved getting to know them even more than we already did. Mrs Parker and Mr Hodgson loved trying to keep up with the high energy levels of our Year 7s! The centre staff were also very complimentary of how Year 7 conducted themselves throughout the visit. Well done for positively representing Sandhill View.
