Enrichment

As you may be aware every Wednesday afternoon we hold “enrichment” activities in school from 2:10p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

By participating students benefit from developing social skills; opportunities to work outside the usual curriculum with external teachers and agencies; opportunities to gain additional skills and accreditation, as well as being able to have a say in their choice of education.

Activities currently on offer include
(however, we are also open to additional suggestions from students):

Trampolining
Swimming
Jewellery
Gardening
5 a side @ Bede (for HI students)
Badminton
Piano
Cookery
SEN Film Club
Multi skills (Mondays)
Dance
Spanish
LRC Games club
Motor Vehicle Servicing
Singing (Tuesdays)
Fitness
Stained glass
Youth Centre
Hairdressing
Guitar / Band (Tuesdays & Thursdays)
Table tennis

Nintendo Wii
Performing Arts

It is expected that every student in KS3 signs up to an activity of their choice as we ask that you encourage your son / daughter to do so. Students in KS4 are also very welcome in either the enrichment activities or to work on coursework in the year base.

Through the week there will be additional extra-curricular activities available at lunchtimes and after school, run by school staff and lists will be available once these have been finalised.

For further information please contact either myself or Miss E Blyth.
